Improving engagement on social media
platform to attract consumers

Summary
In the day
and age where she can constant access to the worldwide web it is important to
leave a mark online. How while your company has four different to social media
sites there appears to be a lack of engagement of the audience. Through my
findings I found that your Twitter page has the most followers out of all your
social media platforms and as a result show be your main focus for marketing to
your audience. To better the chance of audience engagement questionnaires were
submitted online users asking them what draws them to certain social media
accounts.
Body
Over the
evaluation process I was able to receive back 500 questionnaire from social
media users. I have reached out to those who were followers on your social
media platforms but I have also studied the analytics and found that the
average age range of your viewers were from 18-25. With that data I was able to
reach out to people who would fall into your target audience. However I did
want to widen the response so I need end up sending out questionnaires to those
who were not in the targeted age range to see what would draw them to your
social media accounts. While the responses were slow at first I was able to
gather a lot of helpful information on how to improve audience engagement. The questionnaire
itself consisted of 5 questions which were:
1. What draws you to a social media
page?
2. How often do you check it?
3. What would keep you coming back for
more?
4. Anything you would change to our
current site?
5. What social media platform do you use
the most?
Key
Findings/Recommendations
Through the
answers of the questionnaires I have found that social media and visual content
go hand-in-hand. In fact, using images or graphics has benefits for social
media. Over 75% of the answers stated that they love when social media accounts
have professional looking photos and graphics that are recommended regularly.
Another
recommendation is including contest and giveaways. You may have already heard
it before but contests and giveaways attract a big audience because people
loving wining thing/getting free items. One example of a contest idea is to ask
followers to fill-out an entry form, like your page or share their favorite
story about your brand for a chance to win a free product.
Also asking
your audience questions is another way to get them engaged on social media. You
could ask them to provide content ideas and what they would like to see from
your brand in the future or just a general question like “What are plans for
this coming weekend? ”Another idea would be to hold a frequent Q&A session
on social media. It gives fans the opportunity to ask you questions about your
products and become a valued member of your community.
Lastly it is important to show your personality.
Your audience want to see that there’s a person the logo. A way to achieve this
is to share some personal information like your favorite song or hobby with
your followers. You could even tell your followers about what your typical weekday
is like.
Conclusion
Social media
can be amazing tool if you are able to gain traction and the best way is to
listen to your audience. So make sure not to come off as robotic on your posts
but to come off as a sincere person. Try to make genuine connects with your
followers. Don't abuse social media by posting too much about your
business! Remember, social media is
about other people. Also remember that
people love contests and it’s a great ways to give back to the community. It
may seem like a tedious process but social media is a marketing tool and once
mastered it will help your business greatly.
